Killer's appeal fails

An abused wife who strangled her husband and buried him under a patio, lost her appeal against a 30-month jail sentence for manslaughter. The sentence on Jill Stubbs was correct in spite of her diminished responsibility after 10 years of verbal and physical abuse by Michael Devaughn, a former Marine, the Lord Chief Justice, Lord Taylor, said in the Court of Appeal.
