The Environmental Law Foundation (Elf), celebrated its third year of operation with a reception at the House of Commons. Elf now has 210 members - lawyers, environmental consultants and scientists - and has handled more than 350 cases. It fights with campaigning groups on a basis of low fees, with a free initial report. Its caseload ranges from building construction schemes to conservation projects.
