An HNC in legal studies has been developed by the University of Glamorgan, and franchised to a number of other colleges. Following the successful introduction last year of an HND in legal studies, the course is designed for what the university calls 'a new breed of paralegals', who will be able to undertake preliminary legal work such as conveyancing and attending counsel. The HNC can be studied part-time over two years.
