Law Update: Quality aid

The Legal Aid Board has been awarded BS 5750, the British standard guaranteeing quality of service and systems. The accreditation will mean increased efficiency, according to the board, which claims that more than 90 per cent of applications for legal aid, and a similar number of lawyers' bills, are currently being dealt with within six weeks.
