The Faculty of Advocates (the Scottish Bar) admitted 15 new advocates last week, bringing the numbers in practice to a record level of over 360. The dean of the faculty, Andrew Hardie QC, says that the growing membership, in the face of solicitors now enjoying rights of audience in the Supreme Courts, 'speaks for itself'.
