Some 300 judges from all levels are to be provided with computers over the next three years. The move was instigated following a survey by the judicial standing committee on information technology, which will continue to monitor the progress of the project. The computers will be linked, so that judges can communicate with each other and also with the court administration. They will be able to take notes in court and use conference facilities.
