Life sentence for baby's murderer

Simon Lievesley, 20, was jailed for life yesterday at Nottingham Crown Court for the murder of 13- month-old Hayley Cook. Hayley suffered multiple bruises and injuries before she died. Lievesley, who denied the charges, was convicted of cruelty and murder. Hayley's mother, Michelle Barker, who had lived with Lievesley, denied cruelty but was convicted and remanded on bail for sentencing.
