A policeman using a fire extinguisher on a young man who set fire to himself outside the House of Commons yesterday in protest at the war in Bosnia. Police said that he had been carrying a note which related to the conflict. The man was taken by helicopter to St Mary's Hospital in Roehampton, south-west London, but died last night.
