Cecile Dolmetsch-Ward, 89, tuning a 17th-century spinet, a small type of harpsichord, at Parham House in West Sussex. It is a skill she has been practising every year for the past 30 years. She learnt to play the viole at the age of four and still gives regular recitals. Her father, Arnold Dolmetsch, was a pioneer in the revival of early music.
