THE late Marquis of Bath, the first nobleman to open his stately home, Longleat, to the public, has left pounds 44m to his eldest son, the former Viscount Weymouth, who also inherited furniture and works of art. The remainder of the estate went to his widow, Lady Virginia and their daughter, Lady Silvy. Lord Bath died last June, aged 87.
