Protesters occupying two houses in the path of the planned M11 link road in Wanstead, east London, were evicted before the buildings were demolished by Department of Transport contractors yesterday.

Next week, the protesters are planning to step up their campaign by launching Operation Roadblock with 100 people each day taking part in 'various non-violent protest activities'.
