Colin Ireland, of no fixed address, was charged with the murder of Emanuel Spiteri, 42, a chef, by detectives investigating five homosexual killings in London.

Mr Ireland, 39, is also accused of murdering Andrew Collier, 33, a care worker, in Dalston, east London. He is due to appear before Horseferry Road magistrates today to face the second charge.
