Man beats machine
DR MARION Tinsley, 65, the World Draughts Champion, has beaten Chinook, a computer programme. He had only lost five games since winning the title in 1954, but the computerbeat him twice and after 14 games led 2-1. The champion fought back to win 4-2 , with 33 draws. He shouted: 'This is a great victory for man.'
