Man dies at hunt meeting

A MAN died after colliding with a horse box yesterday as protesters tried to break up a hunt meeting at Waresley, Cambridgeshire. Police said it was not clear if the victim was involved in the protest.

A spokesman said officers were responding to reports of a possible confrontation between members of a hunt and saboteurs. 'They received a report that there had been an accident involving a horse box and a pedestrian on a farm track between Waresley and Gamlingay.
