A man died in police custody yesterday after being arrested for being drunk and disorderly after an incident outside a pub in Walworth, south London.

A post-mortem examination on Richard O'Brien, 37, of East Dulwich, was inconclusive. A police spokesman said he was found to be unconscious at the station and after attempts at resuscitation he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
