A driver escaped unhurt yesterday when he ducked moments before a lorry sliced off the roof of his car. Richard Chapman, 38, flattened himself along the front seats of his Citroen BX as it shot under the 58-ton heavy goods vehicle at Ringmer, near Lewes, East Sussex. A spokesman for East Sussex Ambulance Service said: 'You see things like this in films but don't expect them to happen in real life.'
