Four men were being questioned by police after a man was found shot dead in the bedroom of his house in Carrville, Co Durham.

Police said Kevin Errington, 25, who had gunshot wounds to the chest, had been involved in a confrontation last month in which a man sustained serious facial injuries and had been threatened with retribution as a result.
