Man held in church attack

POLICE were yesterday questioning a 29-year-old man from Droitwich, Worcs, about the attack on a woman tending her parents' grave in a churchyard at nearby Hanbury last week. Elizabeth Baylis, 63, suffered a double fracture of the skull.

Elsewhere, Francis Marnell, 39, of Northolt, west London, was remanded in custody at Ealing magistrates court charged with the murder of businesswoman Jean Bradley, 47, who was killed as she went to unlock her car last March.
