Man imported pounds 60m of drugs

A man was jailed for 25 years at Maidstone Crown Court yesterday for smuggling pounds 60m worth of drugs into Britain. Robert Doubtfire, 32, of Blackheath, south London, imported amphetamine sulphate and ecstasy hidden in a tanker of egg yolk products. Doubtfire, 32, was also ordered to pay pounds 13,900 costs. Last week his Dutch accomplice, Frans van Taternhove, 44, was also jailed for 25 years.
