John Ballard, 29, of Fernhill Heath, near Worcester, appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of a Elizabeth Baylis, 63, who was attacked as she tended her parents' grave in a country churchyard. He was remanded in custody for a week by Kidderminster magistrates.
