Man on bail raped woman

A SEX attacker twice raped one woman and attempted to rape another after being bailed by a judge, a court was told yesterday.

Alan Meek, 39, had been remanded in custody accused of indecent assault but was bailed by Judge Ian Starforth Hill QC and subsequently raped a 39-year- old woman. He was remanded for reports after admitting rape and making threats to kill.

Judge Starforth Hill last year told an eight-year-old sex attack victim she was 'not entirely an angel'.
