A man who battered to death his girlfriend's two-year-old daughter while under the influence of steroids and alcohol was yesterday jailed for life.
Natasha Murray, of Warrington, Cheshire, died from internal bleeding after suffering a fractured skull and a ruptured liver.
Mold Crown Court was told that Brendan Byrne, 27, a nightclub bouncer on steroids to help his boxing and rugby, left her in bed to die. He admitted murder.
