Francis Mooney, 18, was sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court to eight years in a young offenders' institution for the manslaughter of Jenny Webb, 91. Mrs Webb died of injuries two months after Mooney broke into her house in Erdington last September and beat her with a metal vase.
