THE fast-food chain, McDonalds, agreed an out of court settlement with a couple whose 32-month-old son died after falling from a high- chair and bumping his head during a birthday party at a restaurant in Lichfield, Staffordshire. An inquest had recorded a verdict of accidental death on Thomas Firkin, of Sutton Coldfield.
