Neelah Smith, 32, the owner of an old people's home in Norfolk jailed for 18 months at Norwich Crown Court on 1 September for a pounds 67,000 tax fraud involving cash payments to staff, had her sentence halved by the Court of Appeal. The decision was 'largely an act of mercy'.
