Miscarriage fear for woman, 58

A58-year-old woman who is expecting twins after fertility treatment by the Italian specialist Dr Severino Antinori, is at risk of suffering a miscarriage, her solicitor said.

Sarah Webb, of the London firm Russell, Jones and Walker, said the continuing publicity and 'harassment from reporters' was causing the mother and father great distress. 'There is a real risk that the press attention could cause harm to the mother's health and endanger her pregnancy.'

The woman is 14 weeks' pregnant with implanted embryos fertilised by her partner.
