A murder inquiry was launched after a nine-year- old girl was found dead at a guest house in Southend-on-Sea,

Essex. Louise Murrie had been missing for a week from her home in Reading - where she lived with her father - after failing to return from a trip with her mother. Police said a woman had been arrested and was receiving psychiatric treatment.
