A WOMAN who abandoned her baby in hospital and disappeared just a day after giving birth was found by police. The 22-year-old woman, who has not been named, was later being seen by her GP and social workers while the baby stayed at the Birmingham Maternity Hospital.

Police said no action would be taken against her.
