The mother of a woman who went missing on Boxing Day with her two-month-old baby daughter has made a plea for help saying their disappearance is "breaking my heart”.

Jennifer Winstanley Inglis, 30, and her daughter, Millie Mae Winstanley, were last seen at around 7pm on 26 December in Blackpool and concern is growing for their wellbeing, Lancashire police said.

Ms Inglis, who is reported to have been wearing white trousers and Ugg boots at the time she was last spotted, took her baby to Blackpool from an address in West Yorkshire.

It is believed that the Ms Inglis has friends and family in the seaside town, but the pair have not been seen for more than five days.

Her mother Suzanne Turner-Inglis posted a plea on Facebook yesterday morning with a picture of Jennifer and Millie Mae, who was born last October.

Pc Jason Wainwright, of Blackpool police, said: “We are growing more concerned about Jennifer and Millie Mae and I would appeal to anyone who sees them, or knows where they might be, to contact us.

“I would also appeal to Jennifer herself to get in touch if she sees this appeal to let us know that she and her daughter are safe.”

Ms Inglis is described as white with shoulder-length dark brown and purple hair.

Millie Mae was wearing a white all-in-one pramsuit the time she was reported to be last seen.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting log number 0962 of December 29.
