A seven-year-old boy and four others under 15 were held by police after a high-speed car chase during which police vehicles were rammed. Officers followed a Triumph car stolen from Wednesbury, West Midlands, through Milton Keynes and on to the M1.

The car travelled on the wrong carriageway at times, police said.
