A woman died when her car was in a head-on crash after a driver did a U-turn on the northbound M6 near Forton services in Lancashire. Alexandra Gordon, 39, of Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, was killed and nine other people injured, including her 12-year-old daughter and the 72-year-old driver of the other car.
