A neighbour of the nine-year- old boy whose body was found in a war-time pillbox in west London on Thursday was charged last night with murder.

Kelvin John McMahon, 24, of St Aubyn's Avenue, Hounslow, west London, will appear before magistrates in Feltham today charged with murdering Christopher Stanley.

Christopher's naked body was found by two boys on the edge of Hounslow Heath golf course, near his home in St Aubyn's Avenue. He had been strangled with a cord.
