The price for the Government's remaining 22 per cent stake in British Telecommunications has been set at 420p per share, according to sources close to the offer, writes Richard Thomson.

On the first of three instalments for the shares, which start trading tomorrow, institutional investors will pay 160p and individuals 150p.
