NINETEEN 'waiters' found sitting beside the A299 at Whitstable, Kent, at 3.45am were being questioned by immigration officials at Dover.

Police believe the men, who were all dressed in waiters' white jackets, came from India or Pakistan, and were smuggled in through Ramsgate in a lorry, then 'dumped' beside the road to await another vehicle.
