ONE OF Britain's oldest newspapers is to start putting news on its front page for the first time in more than 150 years.

First published in 1772, the Hampshire Chronicle began filling its front page with advertisements in the early 19th century.

Its current editor, Steve Robinson, said it was time for a change. The weekly paper, which has a circulation of 21,500, could be missing casual sales by not carrying front page news, he added.
