Zeinab Badawi, 33, the presenter of Channel 4 News, obtained a High Court injunction to prevent an obsessive fan from approaching her. Ms Badawi and ITN, her employers, took out a High Court injunction against Ronald Ellis restraining him from 'harassing, pestering, molesting or communicating' with her.

Mr Ellis, 31, of Maida Vale, west London, believes he can communicate telepathically with Miss Badawi when she appears on television.
