Plans to name a road Reg Jones Close after a local miner were rejected by Wansdyke district council. It said residents of Midsomer Norton, Avon - who say they prefer Wellow Brook Meadow - could choose a name. A proposal to name a street Ann Wilkinson Close, after a lollipop woman, was also rejected.
