Orchestra cuts pay

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra announced tough measures to reduce its pounds 500,000 deficit after a 25 per cent grant cut by the Arts Council. The orchestra admitted there would be 'painful measures' including 20 per cent pay cuts.
