The rock singer Suzi Quatro, 43, received an apology over an unfounded allegation in the Daily Mirror that she had an affair with Gary Glitter. In a separate High Court hearing, the actor Kiefer Sutherland won damages from the News of the World over an allegation that he left his wife for another woman.
