Paris Post War: Art and existentialism 1945-55

I know my faults all too well, the imperfection of my best paintings. But it seems to me that I do not attach as much importance to the imperfections in these works as I like to in works of others.

The Giacometti exhibition with Pierre Matisse is going to be almost totally sold out. The best art critics are on his side. However, I admire what he does and I do like the man's personality although his work is irregular. Without a doubt one of the best artists of our time. But we are not on the same tracks.
