Most pay increases are still above the inflation rate and the unofficial 4 per cent ceiling imposed by the Government in much of the public sector, research published by Income Data Services says. It found that with inflation standing at 3.9 per cent, nearly three-quarters of recent wage deals are worth between 4 and 5.9 per cent.
