A policeman accused of striking a 'stroppy' youth and subjecting him to a strip search was cleared by an Old Bailey jury. PC John Wormell, 31, was acquitted of assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and misconduct as a public officer. He denied allegations that he arrested Reuben Jeffrey, took him to Harrow Road police station in London and forced him to strip to teach him a lesson.
