A policeman who threw a lighted firework from a patrol car at a woman who was six months pregnant was found guilty of discreditable conduct and fined pounds 250 by Kent police yesterday, after the Criminal Prosecution Service decided not to bring charges.
PC John Hambly, 29, who was suspended from duty after the incident in Gillingham last November, had apologised unreservedly for his action. His suspension will now be lifted.
