Kevin Sarbutts, 26, of Liverpool, was committed for trial by a magistrate at Horseferry Road court, central London, accused of perjury at an Appeal Court hearing in March 1990, which cleared a man of the murder of a stallholder during the 1987 Notting Hill carnival. Last January another committal hearing was stopped after Mr Sarbutts' lawyers successfully argued that there was no case to answer.
