Pilot 'jealous of lover's male friends'

A FRENCH pilot accused of murdering his wealthy English lover disliked her spending time in other men's company, an Old Bailey court was told yesterday.

Gaeton Beisy sulked the morning before Carolyn Taylor was stabbed to death because she went to see her physiotherapist, her daughter Samantha said.

'He seemed almost jealous. He did not like my mother being in the company of other men,' she told the jury.

Ms Taylor, 26, said she found her 54-year-old mother lying dead on the kitchen floor of their home in the early hours of the following day.

'Gaeton was crouched beside mum. He was leaning against a cupboard squatting. He had a knife held up against his chest.'

As she went outside Mr Beisy lent out of the window, she told the court. 'The knife was still in his hand. He had it pointed towards himself. He said 'It is all yours now, that is what you wanted. You killed your mother'.'

Ms Taylor was giving evidence on the second day of the trial of Mr Beisy, 56.

He denies murdering Mrs Taylor on 15 July last year and attempting to murder her son Mark at the family home near Dorking in Surrey.

The prosecution alleges that the pilot killed the wealthy widow after a jealous row. Mr Beisy had moved in with Mrs Taylor less than a year earlier after a whirlwind holiday romance.

Ms Taylor said the couple spent most of the time together and were having a passionate affair.

'She did not see other men. She spent most of her time with Gaeton,' she told the court.

The trial was adjourned until today.
