Police end hunt for 'dying mother'

The hunt to find two children feared trapped at home with their dying mother was called off. Detectives were confident they had traced the caller who sparked the alert by phoning the Samaritans. A 25-year-old woman from Acton, west London, was to be interviewed by police but had not been arrested.
