Six people were arrested and eight officers injured as 30 youths attacked police during the arrest of a 14-year-old boy on a council estate in Merthyr Tydfil, Mid Glamorgan. In Swindon, eight people were arrested and three officers hurt as 200 youths watched a fight in the town centre.
