An internal police investigation was launched into who tipped off journalists about raids on the homes of the three footballers questioned this week about alleged match rigging.

The inquiry by the Hampshire force follows the release on Wednesday of Bruce Grobbelaar, John Fashanu and Hans Segers on police bail.
