A 'NAIVE' schoolgirl was forced into sex by a community affairs police constable she had met at her school, Norwich Crown Court was told yesterday.

PC Anthony Hill took the 15-year-old girl to a beauty spot and asked her whether she wanted to join the police force when she grew up, Graham Parkins QC, for the prosecution, said. When they reached a clearing at Thetford Forest, Norfolk, PC Hill began stroking the girl's face and fondling her breasts. Then he laid her on the ground and stripped off before having sex. 'She was doing what she always understood she must - do what a policeman tells you,' Mr Parkins said.

PC Hill, 47, of Newlands Avenue, March, Cambridgeshire, denies raping or indecently assaulting the girl between 11 February 1989 and last 31 December. He told the court she had not resisted his sexual advances in any way and he believed her to be 16 or 17.

But the girl said in evidence: 'I didn't want him to do it . . . I tried to push him off and I just lay there saying 'don't do it, don't do it', but he just carried on.' Afterwards, PC Hill, a married man, had told her that he wanted to marry her.

Asked why she had waited two years before complaining, she said: 'I didn't feel there was a lot I could do about it because he was a police officer.'

The hearing continues.
