Councils may go bust, warn MPs
Councils face going bust across Britain following government funding cuts, MPs have warned.
The Public Accounts Committee said that funding reductions of £7.6bn by 2015 and increased demand for some services would pose "serious questions" about the "viability of some councils".
The committee said the Coalition should draw up contingency plans to intervene in the event of "multiple financial failures".
